The CEO of Athletes for Hope, Ivan Blumberg has led the nonprofit since 2007 and takes responsibility for its management, vision, and funding. He previously spent several years at SFX/Clear Channel, serving as the company’s president of athlete representation, a position that saw him managing a $40 million business consisting of more than 100 employees and 750 professional athletes. In his current role at Athletes for Hope, Ivan Blumberg utilizes the skills he gained in the for-profit sector to help athletes partner with charities and other organizations that make a difference in the lives of millions of people around the world. Ivan Blumberg began his career at ProServ, one of the first sports management firms in the world, and worked as the company’s managing director and general counsel from 1983 to 1997. He joined the company immediately after earning his JD from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, which he attended from 1980 to 1983. Ivan Blumberg had previously graduated from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, where he earned a bachelor of arts in political science in 1980.
